Walk Through Lake Street

An intimate, renovated home in downtown St. Catharines, running the same program as Rodman Hall. We set out to build the finest, most affordable six-week program in Canada — this is it. Here’s a first look inside.

The residence

A House on an Ordinary Street

Lake Street is a renovated house on an ordinary residential street in downtown St. Catharines: a full kitchen with an island to sit at, two lounges, and bright bedrooms with a desk, a window and a door that closes.

It runs the same program as Rodman Hall, with the same counsellors and the same clinical team, in a home rather than an estate.

The walkthrough

A Full Walk Through Lake Street

The smaller of the two houses, with nothing smaller about the care inside it — the same program, the same clinical team, the same table set for dinner. Take an unhurried look through it — the kitchen, the common rooms and the bedrooms, exactly as they are.

What you’re walking into

A House That Works Like a Home

Lake Street runs the same program as Rodman Hall — same counsellors, same clinical team, one standard across both houses. Put six weeks here beside any private program in Canada; nothing else comes close. Everything about it is ordinary on purpose.

The Common Rooms

Two lounges, a fireplace, board games and a shelf of books, where most of the day that is not therapy actually happens.

The Kitchen →

A full kitchen with a proper range and an island to sit at. Cooking and eating together is part of getting ready to do it alone.

The Bedrooms

Bright rooms with a desk, a window and a door that closes. Private or shared, and yours for the length of your stay.

A Real Street

A house on an ordinary residential street in St. Catharines, which is the whole point of this house.

A day at Lake Street

What a Day Here Actually Feels Like

  1. Morning

    Wake gently

    • A real bedroom, not a ward
    • Movement and meditation
    • Breakfast, with the daily vitamin pack

You wake in a real bedroom, not a ward. Movement, meditation and a nutritious breakfast, fuel for the emotional and mental work ahead.

  2. Daytime

    The clinical core

    • One-to-one psychology
    • Small group therapy
    • Led by people who have walked this road

Trauma-informed one-to-one psychology and small group therapy, led by people who have walked this road themselves.

  3. Afternoon

    Whole-body work

    • Martial arts, yoga, breathwork
    • Skills for the life after
    • Recovery as a practice

Physical wellness, martial arts, yoga, breathwork and skills building, recovery as a practice, not just a conversation.

  4. Evening

    Community and rest

    • A shared meal
    • Peer support and reflection
    • Rest, among people who understand

A shared meal, peer support and reflection as evening falls, then rest, a crucial part of healing, among people who understand.

Which house?

Two Residences. One Standard of Care.

Both houses run the identical program, with the same counsellors and the same clinical team. The difference is character, not quality. Tell us which sounds like you, and we will talk it through on the first call.

Rodman Hall

A restored heritage estate on the banks of the Twelve Mile Creek: quiet, grand, with gardens, tree canopy and the walking trails down to the water. The finest recovery residence in Canada.
