Twelve Mile Recovery's Daily Habits

Bedtime

Set a regular bedtime and stick to it. Getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night supports brain function and emotional regulation, helping repair neural pathways that are crucial for recovery.

Drink 2 liters of water / day. Staying hydrated is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to boost your overall well-being.

Regular walking or gentle movement boost endorphins, reduce stress, and improve brain function, aiding emotional balance and recovery.

Practice 3 minutes of deep breathing or mindfulness meditation daily.

Eat at least three balanced meals a day. Fuel yourself nutritionally and with comfort food.

Write down 3 things you’re grateful daily.

Spend 15 minutes doing something that brings you joy (listening to music, reading, etc.)
