Addiction Treatment in the Niagara Region

Residential addiction treatment in Niagara — based in St. Catharines and serving Niagara Falls, Welland, Thorold, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Grimsby, Fort Erie and every community in between. One small private program, close enough to reach and far enough to breathe.

The region

Niagara Is Our Catchment, Not a Marketing Pin

Twelve Mile Recovery operates from two residences in St. Catharines — which puts residential treatment within a short drive of everywhere in the Niagara region: about fifteen minutes from Niagara Falls, twenty from Welland or Niagara-on-the-Lake, half an hour from Grimsby or Fort Erie.

That distance matters twice. It is close enough that your family can take part in sessions on site and the drive never becomes the reason to put it off — and it is still a genuine step out of the streets, routines and contacts the substance lives in. For a lot of people in Niagara, that combination is exactly what has been missing.

Why People From Niagara Choose Treatment in Niagara

Residential treatment asks a lot: weeks away from work, family and the life you are trying to repair. Doing it two hours down the QEW makes every part of that harder than it needs to be. Doing it here keeps the people who matter within reach while still taking you out of the day-to-day the addiction is woven into.

Detox in Niagara: The Honest Answer

We are not a detox facility, in Niagara or anywhere. Where withdrawal needs medical supervision, we coordinate the referral with our detox partners, hold your place in the residence, and admit you once you have 72 hours of sobriety behind you — so the detox step never becomes the crack you fall through.

If you are not sure whether you need medical detox, say exactly that on the phone. Working it out with you is part of the job.

  • We are not a detox facility
  • Detox referrals arranged with our partners
  • Your bed is held while detox happens
  • At least 72 hours of sobriety before arrival

Questions people ask

Niagara, Answered Before You Call

Which Niagara communities do you serve?
All of them. St. Catharines is home, and clients come to us from Niagara Falls, Welland, Thorold, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Grimsby, Lincoln, Pelham, Port Colborne and Fort Erie — as well as from across Ontario and Canada. Treatment is residential, so "serving" means one thing: you come to us, and we make that easy to arrange.
How far are you from Niagara Falls?
About fifteen minutes by car. Close enough for your family to be part of the work on site; far enough that you are genuinely out of the environment you are trying to change.
Is a residential stay really necessary if I live nearby?
Not always — but the pull of a familiar environment is the single hardest thing about early recovery, and living inside it while trying to change it is why so many attempts do not hold. A residential stay nearby gives you distance from the patterns without distance from the people.
What does it cost?
Twelve Mile is a private-pay program. We do not publish prices, because the right length and plan differ from person to person — but we will walk you through everything on the first call, we can provide receipts for insurance reimbursement, and financing is available through Medicard so cost never has to be the barrier.
