If you want real attention and honest support, reach out.
Does Alcohol Use Have You Feeling Trapped?
If your relationship to alcohol has had you trapped for years, this message is for you.
Most people who reach out to us are not new to this. They have tried to cut back, quit on their own, or gone to treatment before. They usually did what was asked of them and still ended up drinking again. Naturally, that tends to create a lot of doubt about whether anything will actually work.
At Twelve Mile Recovery, we do things differently for a reason.
If you’re finally ready to get your life back, ready to rebuild relationships with the people you love, ready to discover what you’re truly capable of, ready to meet people you can truly connect with, who accept you for who you are, and ready to say “f*ck you” to addiction – keep reading.
Your Path Through Care
Three stages, and you do not have to decide the whole thing today. The assessment sets where you start and how long you stay.
6–12 Week Inpatient Stay →
Residential care at Rodman Hall or Lake Street — six, nine or twelve weeks, set by your assessment rather than by a package. Small groups, an individualized plan, and staff who know you by name.
6 Week Reintegration Support →
A structured step down that keeps the routine and the accountability running while you return to your own life. Discharge becomes a transition instead of a cliff edge.
Lifetime Aftercare & Support →
Membership does not expire. Ongoing groups, the alumni community and a door that stays open, for as long as you want it open.
Care Built Around You
We keep the program to 29 people across two residences. We do this because each person’s story and perspective is unique, and deserves individual attention. Alcohol use thrives in anonymity. When groups are large, it is easy to hide, blend in, or say the right things while staying stuck. In a small setting, patterns show up quickly. The staff know you well.
You are supported closely and held accountable in a way that feels human, and genuine, not clinical, and not controlling. We understand that the only way for you to recover – is for YOU to find your reasons why.
Your care is individualized. There is no generic template. Your plan is built around your own history, your triggers, your health, and the life you are returning to. We focus on what actually helps you stop drinking and stay stopped once you leave, not just getting you through a stay.
If you are looking for a place to hide or go through the motions, this will not be the right fit. If you want focused attention, honest conversations, and a small environment where real change is possible, call us now.
We are Owned and Operated by People in Long Term Recovery
This program is led by people who have lived through alcohol addiction themselves and rebuilt their lives in recovery. That matters. You are not being guided by people guessing what this feels like. You are working with people who understand the mental exhaustion, the bargaining, the fear of trying again, and the reality of long term change.
With professional support from people who have been through it, and found a way to live a fulfilling life in recovery, our hope is that you too, will find what works for you.
Trauma Informed Care for Mind, Body and Spirit
Alcohol use is rarely just about alcohol. It is often tied to stress, trauma, emotional shutdown, nervous system overload, or years of using drinking as the main coping tool. Our approach is trauma informed, which means we pay attention to how your body and nervous system respond, not just your behaviour. We slow things down when needed and push when it is appropriate. No shaming. No forcing breakthroughs. Real stability comes first.
Our clinical work draws from proven, evidence based approaches, including:
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to build emotional regulation and distress tolerance
- Motivational Interviewing to support autonomy and internal motivation
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to address thought patterns that fuel drinking
- Trauma focused therapy that respects pace and nervous system capacity
- Group therapy that fosters connection, accountability, and shared insight
- Community integration to practice real world recovery skills
- Peer support grounded in lived experience
This is the building. A restored heritage house in St. Catharines, not a clinic and not a compound.
You Do Not Need Another Missed Promise or Another Reset Date.
If alcohol has been running your life, damaging your health, or pulling you further from the people you care about, it is okay to ask for help. You do not have to have it all figured out before calling. A conversation with our team will help you understand whether this program is a good fit and what next steps would look like for you. No pressure. Just a real discussion about what has not worked and what might be the next right step. Reach out today. We want to hear your story.
