Addiction Treatment in St. Catharines

Private residential addiction treatment in St. Catharines, Ontario — where Twelve Mile Recovery actually is. Two heritage residences, one small program of twenty-nine places, on and near the creek we are named after.

Where we are

This Is the City We Call Home

Twelve Mile Recovery is not a chain with a St. Catharines branch. This is where we are — a private, CARF-accredited residential program named after the Twelve Mile Creek, run from two restored houses in the city: Rodman Hall, a heritage estate on the banks of the creek, and Lake Street, an intimate home at 125 Lake Street downtown.

People come to us from St. Catharines itself, from across the Niagara region, and from every part of Ontario and Canada. Wherever you start from, the program is the same: residential stays of six, nine or twelve weeks with a very small group, trauma-informed one-to-one psychology, and support that continues for life after you leave.

Searching for detox?

Detox in St. Catharines: The Honest Answer

Twelve Mile Recovery is not a detox facility, and if you are searching for medical detox in St. Catharines we will not pretend otherwise. What we do is arrange it: where withdrawal needs medical supervision, we coordinate the referral with our detox partners, hold your place here, and admit you once you have 72 hours of sobriety behind you.

That first call does not commit you to anything. It gets you a plan — including the detox step you were searching for — from people who arrange it every week.

  • We are not a detox facility
  • Detox referrals arranged with our partners
  • Your bed is held while detox happens
  • At least 72 hours of sobriety before arrival

Questions people ask

St. Catharines, Answered Before You Call

Where exactly are you in St. Catharines?
Two residences: Rodman Hall, a heritage estate on the Twelve Mile Creek, and Lake Street at 125 Lake Street downtown. Clients live on site, so we don't run drop-in visits or tours — the video walkthroughs on each residence's page show you every room, and the rest we will happily answer by phone.
Do you take people from St. Catharines itself?
Yes. Roughly half the value of residential treatment is stepping out of the environment the substance lives in — and that is as true from ten minutes away as from ten hours. Local clients get the same program, and their families are close by for on-site family sessions.
Can my family be involved if we live nearby?
Yes — family work is part of the program, with sessions on site and dedicated support for the people around you. What we don't offer is casual visiting: clients live here, and the residence stays theirs.
Is there medical detox at your St. Catharines facilities?
No — we are not a detox facility, and anyone who tells you every rehab is one is selling something. Where detox is needed we arrange the referral with our partners first, hold your place, and admit you with 72 hours of sobriety. We set that up with you on the first call.
